CARSE GOALS for 2018
· Increased legislative representation, tracking, and feedback, via Dale Miller, who is representing CARSE’s legislative interests through CCI.
· New CARSE website
o This website is sort of a skeleton now, but it will begin to be populated with Member-relevant information (please provide feedback about what you see, don’t see, would like to see)
o CARSE needs a site master… This does not take a lot of website skill, just a willingness to help add or update information that is kept on the Website.
o Please consider helping. Call any board member.
· Implementation of improved director and officer guidelines.
· Consideration for changing Fall and Spring Directors meetings.
o From phone 2 semiannual phone in meetings,
o To Face to Face meetings in a central location, possibly in Salida.
· Consider doing an annual regional workshop concurrent with the Spring or Fall Directors meeting
· Consider CARSE level of involvement at the CCI Summer Conference in Keystone. (CCI plans to be in Keystone, 2018 – 2020). Please forward your thoughts to any CARSE officer or director.
o CARSE could prepare a full topical agenda with speakers as in the past
o Or, CARSE could be available and represented at a CARSE booth or table, with minimal representation. CARSE members are still invited attend the CCI Conference as desired.
o Or, CARSE may elect to host a regional workshop concurrent with the CCI Summer Conference. The workshop would not be in the same hotel/conference center as the CCI Summer Conference.
· Continue to promote the implementation of regional workshops. (Still hoping to have workshops in Morgan and Rio Grande counties. (If you want a workshop in your area, CARSE will provide help and support.)
o Low to no cost for the attendees
o One day commitment
o Free coffee and lunch
o Meet your neighboring jurisdictions
o Meet your vendors
o See demonstrations
o Hear topical presentations
